Dental Implants To Help You

Get Back To Where You Were.

When you are looking to replace
a missing tooth or teeth
or secure loose dentures
we can provide you the best solution.

Dental Implants

Do you want a solution which helps you get the bite you had before you lost your tooth? Casey, Susan and Thomas had missing teeth and were profoundly satisfied with the replacement implants.  Some teeth had been lost from gum disease, eating pop-corn, falling over or teeth just going bad.  We presented them with ways to get their life back.  All people want the best solution and finally decided implants are much better option in the long run.

Implants are the new alternative to traditional solutions such as bridges or dentures.  Our patients want them since the neighbouring teeth do not have to be worked on.  And these teeth will last a lot longer as our past patients have found out.

The Benefits Of Dental Implants

What Types Of Dental Implants Are Available?

There are several different types of implant available, depending on your needs. You will also be able to select from a range of different materials and varying degrees of personalised crafting, offering a range of solutions from a functional replacement tooth, to a more aesthetic result to blend with your natural teeth. Your dentist will discuss all the options with you to find the best solution.

Single Dental Implants

Single Implant

The loss of a tooth could be caused from many different reasons; tooth decay, infection, gum disease, trauma, or removal of an impacted tooth.

A single dental implant is the most functional secure replacement for a missing tooth, allowing you to eat, smile and laugh with confidence.

A single titanium implant is placed into the jaw, as the replacement root. It’s a straightforward process which can be completed under local anaesthetic.  The implant will need three to six months to heal and integrate with your jaw bone to provide a solid support for your replacement tooth.

A temporary crown is can be fitted at the same time as your implant placement. Or a healing abutment is placed, this will stay in place until the final restoration appointment.

Once your implant has integrated we will make the new crown.   An impression will be taken and a bespoke crown commissioned from our dental laboratory. This process usually takes a further two weeks.

Multiple Dental Implants

Dental implants can be used to securely anchor multiple replacement teeth, leaving you with a new smile that looks and feels so natural, you will forget the teeth are not your own.

Each missing tooth does not necessarily require an individual implant to replace it. Often a more stable and cost-effective approach is to place an implant at either end of the ‘tooth gap’ and span across the implants with a fixed bridge . The chewing  is then made possible with a minimum number of implants.

Multiple Implants

Traditional bridge treatments require dentists to file down the neighbouring healthy teeth, in order to attached the bridge in place. Dental implant technology alleviates the need to damage these healthy teeth, instead anchoring your bridge to implants, bonded with your jaw.

The implant itself is a titanium screw placed into the jaw, to replace an original root. It’s a straightforward process which can be completed under local anaesthetic.

The implants will need three to six months to heal and bond with your jaw bone to provide a solid support for your replacement tooth.

Temporary replacement teeth are usually fitted at the same time as your implant placement, which will stay in place until the final restoration appointment.

Once your jaw has healed, an abutment may be fixed to the implant to hold your replacement teeth (crowns or bridges) in place. Abutments are produced in titanium, gold or porcelain, and can come as a standard fit or crafted specifically for you. These options offer a range of aesthetics results, depending on your requirements.

Crowns or a dental bridge are then fitted on top, to replace your missing teeth. Your dentist will carefully match the colour of your crown to your natural teeth.

“I feel great about my smile now. My tooth had broken off while eating.  I rang the surgery and they were able to fit me and do the procedure.  Eternal smiles staff were great.  Dr Singh explained the procedure and explained how he would make sure I felt no pain during treatment.  After surgery, there was minimal discomfort as he had promised.  I have had my tooth for a few months and it looks fine.”

How Are Implants Kept Stable?

Implants are secured deep into the bone of the jaw. We wait for 3 months while the bone secures itself around the implant. This gives it a great chance of being strong in the bone.

We provide the best quality care and use current techniques to make sure the implant has the best chance of success for our patients.

How Do We Look After You

A full examination and an x-ray needs to be taken to meet the initial requirements.  An appointment is made to place the implant into the jaw.  Then we wait for the bone to heal and secure around the implant. Next on the implant connector a crown is placed.  The crown will created to give you a beautiful smile and make you your bite like you did before.

“I knocked my tooth out playing sports.  Dr Singh suggested an implant rather than a bridge.  I had the procedure and it was a success. “
